Congratulations and welcome to CAL! You are cordially invited to “Cal Connect”, an informal event for incoming freshmen and parents, sponsored by the California Alumni Association.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow incoming students from your area and to ask alumni and current students questions about majors, student life, and the Berkeley area.

Amy and I with our son, Timmy

Amy and I were in the graduating classes of 2001 at Cal and both received our B.A. in Cognitive Science. Amy went on to pursue her Masters in eBusiness at Carnegie Mellon, while I worked at the Cal Alumni Association for a few years before getting my Masters at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. We both settled in Alameda after graduation and serve as alumni counselors for one of the official student groups on the Berkeley campus called Kairos Christian Fellowship.

Since I grew up in Foster City and went to Aragon High School, Amy and I thought it would be a great opportunity to welcome you to Cal, as we remember being in your shoes not too long ago!

Meet some of our friends! Abe graduated from EECS in 2005 and is currently working at a web company. Lin is a junior in the Haas Business School and Robert is a Econ major. We also have aspiring doctors, Cheng and Chanhee, who are both pursuing a degree in MCB (Molecular Cell Biology).
