This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow incoming students from your area and to ask alumni and current students questions about majors, student life, and the Berkeley area.

We’re a bunch of fun-loving alumni who have walked the halls of UC Berkeley.

Debbie and I both graduated from Cal with degrees in Sociology and Computer Science. I went on to pursue a Masters in Computer Science, and am currently working in nearby Downtown Oakland. Debbie taught fourth grade until she became a mother with the birth of our bundle of joy, Mikaela. We love Cal, and we give back to our community whenever we can. We currently serve as alumni counselors for one of the official student groups on the Berkeley campus called Kairos Christian Fellowship.

Debbie grew up in Bellevue, Washington, and I grew up in San Marino, down in southern California. We both moved to Cal and for college and stayed up here ever since, simply because it’s such a great place to be! At any rate, we thought it would be a great opportunity to welcome you to Cal, as we remember being in your shoes not too long ago!
