WELCOME TO KAIROS!

kairos is a campus christian fellowship & ministry at university of maryland, college park

Throughout the week, we strive to live out the community described in Acts 2: doing life together, spending time in God's word and prayer, and growing in relationships with one another through a lot of food, fellowship, and fun. Whether you're a Christian who wants to grow in your faith, or someone simply curious about what Christianity is all about, we invite you to come join us!

WHAT IS KAIROS?

KAIROS IS GREEK FOR OPPORTUNE TIME

We believe college is the opportune time to explore the big questions of life like, “Does God exist?” and “What am I here for?” At Kairos, you’ll find a safe space to ask these questions alongside other college students.

7-DAY PRAYER CHALLENGE #KAIROSOPENDOOR

Believe it or not, the freshmen are moving in on 8/22, so what better time to kick off our 7-day #kairosopendoor prayer challenge? The challenge is simple. At 8:22am or 8:22pm, pray for 5 minutes and then post a picture on Instagram to show you completed it with the #kairosopendoor tag! Check our Instagram to see a fun way to post your photo for that day! If you don't have an Instagram, upload your photos to this Dropbox Folder. We'll feature the best photos on our website and Instagram stories. We also want to encourage you to take advantage of these prayer resources, especially the 5 minute prayer guide!

Course 101

Course 101 gives an intellectual basis for answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the Christian faith and addresses misconceptions about God, Jesus, and the Bible. Both those who have experience with Christianity and those just beginning to consider it will have the chance to explore how Christianity addresses questions about the meaning of life, our purpose, and the longings of our hearts. Let us know here if you’re interested in going through the material together!
